At Haze Ability Mainstream (HAM-Mission), we are a registered non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of children and young people who are impacted by physical and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Since our founding in 2022, we have worked tirelessly within the slum communities of Kampala, Uganda, with a singular goal: to create an inclusive society where every child and young person with a disability is cherished and belongs.
We believe that every individual deserves a dignified life, and our mission is to make that a reality. We are a vibrant partnership of community service providers committed to meeting the health, educational, and socioeconomic challenges faced by this often-underserved group. In essence, we strive to help young people with disabilities go "beyond the label" to live full and meaningful lives.
Our work is guided by a strong set of core values that define who we are and how we operate:
Integrity: We act as good stewards of our resources, ensuring every donation and effort directly benefits those we serve.
Professionalism: We are committed to achieving equality in everything we do, from our programs to our interactions with the community.
Communication: We communicate with honesty and respect, building trust with the children, families, and partners we work with.
Inclusion: We actively promote and practice inclusion, advocating for the rights of all people with disabilities.
