About Us
Haze ability Mainstream (HAM-Mission) is a registered non-profit serving children and young people with physical and neurodevelopmental disabilities in the slum communities of Kampala, Uganda. Founded since 2022, our goal has been to create an inclusive society where every young person with a disability is cherished and belongs
We address the health, educational, and socioeconomic challenges faced by young people with disabilities and their families. Our core work is built on three key programs:
We believe in starting early to make a lasting difference. under this track:
Our team provides in-home and community-based rehabilitation services (occupational and physiotherapy) to support the development of infants and toddlers (Ages 0-10)with disabilities.
We also empower parents and guardians to feel confident and supported as they raise their children
Our work extends into the community to create a more inclusive world.
We organize free medical camps where children get free medical checkups and treatment.
We create awareness through our neighborhood engagement series to change attitudes. under this track
we have a special program to support fathers, helping them stay and be active in their children's lives.
Young People Empowerment Program (YAP)
Our work does not stop on toddlers: This program is all about helping young adults (ages 18-30) with mental health and intellectual disabilities build confidence and independence.
We provide a variety of activities to help them build resilience and learn the soft skills they need to get a job and thrive on their own.
(HAM-Mission) is a vibrant partnership of community service providers.
